Our philosophy

The educational programme of Nelyland Model Nursery School is based on the principles of respect and responsibility. It is based on the intrinsic and spontaneous need of all children to explore. It allows, with pedagogical sensitivity, a self-directed curriculum based on their aptitudes and interests and the support of teachers and parents who create a community of adults, who in turn support the children’s learning.

Our aim is to create the right conditions to build our children’s future. The three main guides in their lives are parents, educators and the environment. We, therefore, at Nelyland Model Nursery School have organized an educational program that involves all three guides providing children with the best tools for their own future.

Through the exciting for our little ones company, our educators actively stimulate the children’s imagination, entertain them and simultaneously introduce them to the values of life: ideals, cooperation, solidarity, loyalty, justice, respect and keeping promises.

You too can lead your child into an inexhaustible world of inspiration, imagination, knowledge and creativity!

Our personnel

All teachers at Nelyland Model Nursery School are qualified and highly trained. They are graduates of exclusively Greek Higher Educational Institutions with postgraduate studies, while their assistants have been selected from the best public and private schools. They have experience, increased qualifications and continuous training. The teachers at Nelyland Model Nursery School are classmates and partners for the children, not just educators. Throughout the daily educational program they facilitate children’s learning by planning activities and organizing lessons based on each child’s interests, asking questions for further understanding and taking an active part in the activities with the child, because education is an always ongoing process.

The annual lesson planning by the educators is completely necessary in order for us to be able to set educational goals and then evaluate the achievement of these goals with you. However, in the course of school year, we will be called upon to make use of both unforeseeable events and emerging interest of the children in order to implement corresponding work plans (projects). Therefore, we do not aim at the strict application of a rigid and stereotypical educational program. Instead, we constantly adapt it to the current requirements of the times since learning is an active process that is continuously renewed.
