Nutrition

Eating habits are formed in the early years of life and nutrition education for children helps them develop into healthy adults. That’s why children’s nutrition is a priority, with the aim of meeting their energy, nutrition and taste needs!

The menu is formulated by a dietician-nutritionist in collaboration with a pediatrician, based on the principles of the Mediterranean Diet and is in line with the World Health Organization guidelines and the National Nutritional Recommendations, as defined in the National Dietary Guidelines for Infants, Children and Adolescents. It includes breakfast, brunch (snack) and lunch, always freshly cooked, complying with all health standards and specific requirements laid down in the health regulations for food establishments.

The raw materials are of first quality, selected from local producers, the food is prepared with olive oil, without the addition of salt and sugar, without preservatives or artificial sweeteners, and seasonality in fruits and vegetables is followed.

Our goal at Nelyland Model Nursery School is for children to continually try new flavors, become familiar with all foods and textures, reduce pickiness and expand their taste horizons.

Health-Medical Monitoring

The contribution of our paediatrician is important in the prevention and treatment of childhood diseases. Her daily contact with the Nelyland Model Nursery School and her valuable advice make us feel even safer for our children in all areas of their school life.

In order to ensure the health of our children, our most precious asset, the medical monitoring program includes an optional regular examination by a speech therapist, while after each examination of the children, the teachers and the headmistress are informed. The doctors’ observations are recorded so that parents have a detailed picture of the findings of each examination.
